QOV #11

This is the last of this month’s QOVs. The latest very top was made by Val.

Here’s a look at the back.

This is the panto I used.

It is available from Urban Elementz .

Have a great day!

This and That

This is a section of flooring at Sky Harbor airport. I loved it!

I received these beautiful hot pads in the mail recently from Diane at O’Quilts. They are almost too pretty to use!

And a good friend had two of these and sent one to me! Thanks, Susan!

When we lived in France, we collected little nativity figures called santons. E2 thought Baby Jesus needed a Jeep ride.

The lamb rides in the trailer, of course.

Then they were hungry and needed popcorn. I just love my imaginative little boys!

I picked this up at Tuesday Morning in AZ.

Ten each of ten different 2 1/2 inch squares. Should be a fun little challenge!

If you have one nearby, check it out. They also had layer cakes and jelly rolls!

Have a great day!

DWMonday

Between napping on the couch and watching little boys last week, I worked on another tiny project.

I saw a similar little quilt on Pinterest a while back and decided to make one myself. I worked from memory and based on a one inch grid. All was well until I got to the tree trunk. I cut a square, sliced it diagonally, and inserted a one inch strip.

Then I added 2 inch triangles on each end. Turns out, that is not how it is supposed to go!

It is supposed to look like this.

Oh well! I marked the quilting lines with a hera marker given to me by dear reader, Ila.

Time for quilting! Have a great day!

Slow Stitching Sunday

Remember this piece that I took apart?

I ended up taking it back to regular flowers rather than diamonds.

On my recent trip, I began piecing it back together.

Daughter #2 and I split the driving and I did a lot of watching the country go by, so I didn’t get much done. But it is a start and so far, I like it better.

Have a great day!

Beautiful Arizona

I’m so thankful for the time I had with Daughter #2 and the pups. We were able to spend a day hiking in one in my favorite places on earth, the White Tank Mountains.

I sure will miss these two. But they are so happy to be reunited with their momma.

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ QOVs

I’ve been quilting tops for our Stitching Sisters QOV group this week. I don’t have any info on piecing patterns for any of these.

Have a great weekend!

Hand Quilting

I promised quilty content today, but there isn’t much to report. I came home from my trip and promptly got sick with a cold. I spent most of the day on the couch and did work on some hand quilting.

I finished up this Aussie TV series while I quilted.

I did get out to clear the driveway once, but I’ll need to do it again tomorrow.

The schools were all closed today due to the snow. I’m so ready for spring!

Have a great day!

Epic Adventure Part 3

The mountains at Flagstaff were beautiful!

We had to take a quick stop in Sedona as well.

The sun was setting as we neared Phoenix and the end of our journey.

This was the trip of a lifetime. All went well. The girls were fantastic travelers. And if you are traveling with pets, I can recommend an app called Bring Fido. It will help you locate and book pet friendly hotels.

I’ll be back to Quilts content tomorrow. Have a great day!

Epic Adventure Part 2

Sometimes my photography skills leave a lot to be desired, as evidenced by this. Can you guess the state?

We spent our second night in New Mexico.

Before noon, we saw this welcome sign.

Winnie was so excited!

Mr. Wonderful and I love the Eagles so we had to stop in Winslow and say hi to Glenn Frey.

Soon after, we started seeing red rocks.

Bambi is here saying, let’s get back on the road already!

More to come. Have a great day!
