Dollhouse Chronicles

I decided to make a little wall quilt for the dollhouse.

I used graph paper to draw out a pattern and used it for a paper foundation.

I’m pretty sure they didn’t hang wall quilts for decoration in the era that this room is decorated. It may not stay here.

It’s really hard to get a photo of a room in a dollhouse! Have a great day!

Stash Enhancement

Winslow and I are on a little road trip this week to visit my mom. Every time I pass through Norway, Michigan, I try to stop at Jeri’s Fabric Patch. I always find something! This is what I picked up this time.

Three bundles of fat quarters. Jeri does a beautiful job of pulling fabrics together for her fabric rolls. And her prices?

Not bad! Made even better by the fact that it was buy two rolls and get a third one free!

I’d been wanting more mourning prints in the stash and I never think to grab purples so these were perfect.

Have a great day!

Another Tiny ReproQuilt

I chose another quilt from this book to replicate.

It’s about as simple as they come.

I decided to make mine smaller. I used this die from Accuquilt .

My fabrics are similar in color, but that’s about all.

I split my batting to make it thinner.

This is how it ended up after washing.

I think it will work well in the dollhouse. Have a great day!

Winslow’s Castle

My girl Winslow is as silly as they come. I have no idea what this is on her nose, but she acted all innocent like she hadn’t been into anything.

This is her crate. Pretty standard. Pretty ugly.

I saw a photo on Pinterest where someone turned theirs into an end table. I texted a pic to Mr. Wonderful one day last week. He came home with lumber and before I knew it, I had this.

I love it! Winslow prefers to sleep in our bed, but she has some pretty classy digs these days.

Have a good one!

Dollhouse Chronicles

I found a tiny stove for my kitchen and I made a tiny shelf to go over the sink.

I used tiny eye bolts and turned them into hooks. I used a couple small pieces of wood to create the shelf itself.

I decided to use leftover paint from my real family room to paint these rooms.

You can see I also painted and reinstalled the stairs.

Little by little, it’s coming along!

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday – Four Poster4 Patch

I finished my little quilt and it fit my little bed perfectly! I still need to make a pillow someday.

I actually added full borders and quilted this on the long arm.

Then I cut out the corners.

The binding was a bit tricky and turned out a little clunkier than I would have liked.

But it is done and I like it.

After I posted the first pictures of my bed, I received a comment from a Joyce who had received one when she was a little girl. She was kind enough to share photos with me. You can see one of the finials laying on the bed.

Isn’t this lovely? You all were right when you said I had a canopy bed!

Joyce’s sister, Susan, also received one and she sent me pictures too!

Love the bedding!

Thank you so much to Joyce and Susan for sharing your little beauties with me. Someday, I hope to fashion a canopy for mine. I think I can do it with the help of your photos.

Have a great day!

Would you?

I’ve been thinking about the top I showed yesterday. There is something that bothers me, and I think I’ve identified the issue.

It’s this. These cornerstones bother me.

I’m thinking about racing them. Perhaps a solid blue?

Or yellow?

As a reminder, here is the full top.

Any ideas? Is it worth the effort of replacing these?

Have a great day!
