My bins of pieces and parts for this quilt are getting empty!
This next photo shows 9 blocks. I now have 25 pieced.
I need to make just a couple more half blocks yet. Then I will add a narrow border so this will end up around 100 inches square.
I should be able to finish this one in March! Have a great day!
It is gorgeous! Love a simple 4 patch!!
I like the look of your scraps in those cool bins as much as the finished blocks! What an amazing scrappy quilt this is going to be!
Hi Katy, is this quilt from a pattern or book? I’d love any information you can share. I can’t wait to see it completed it’s going to be gorgeous!! Hugs,
As a New Englander, I will always be smitten with any and all quilts that remind me of our pioneer quilters. I absolutely love modern quilts and have made my share. Hubby and I just saw Call of the Wild last Saturday. We both had read the book way back in high school. Watching Buck reminded me of my instinctive connection to all quilts reminiscent of early quilters. Lol, the “Call of the Quilt.” There is just something about these quilts that causes a deep instinctive response. With that being said, I’m currently cutting a quilt, “Lanterns of Hope” for a college granddaughter. This is done in solids with both bold colors and a bold design. A perfect quilt choice for Adrianna.
What size are you cutting your pieces for your 4 patches? Very pretty quilt!
I think this will be a wonderful quilt, and look forward to posts about your progress as you complete it.
