This is a most satisfying finish!
I started the appliqué last summer while traveling. The verse is John 6:12. After Jesus had fed the 5,000, he told his disciples to gather up the fragments so nothing would be wasted.
The background of the front is random scraps of muslin. I also used muslin on the back.
I initially wanted a red binding, but I ran out. I am really pleased with this tan. It frames the top without competing.
You can really see the different muslins in this photo.
I’m enjoying this in my family room for the time being.
Have a great day!
Hi Katy! I couldn’t leave a comment on Saturday’s post but I did enjoy the funnies you shared. My sister lives in Woodstock, IL where Groundhog Day was filmed. The entire cast and crew returned to her town to film the Jeep commercial. It was so cool that the reshot there, and I love Bill Murray, too. ~smile~ Roseanne
I love it!! Hugs,
Really love this one!!
It’s great, Katy! I agree with you. The tan binding is perfect.
The use of muslin pieces is brilliant – adds a subtle touch to the design that is so right. Love this!
That is really gorgeous! Simple, understand and elegant! Love that verse.
Love this, Katy! Always fun to see how you use your quilts in your beautiful home too!
What a sweet little quilt and wonderful sentiment! Congrats on this finish.
So true and sooo cute! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
