It’s Cyber Monday and The Fat Quarter Shop is doing it again!

Time is flying by! Here are the goals I set for November.
1. Need to make that QOV! Done! As a bonus, I finished a QOV top that was pieced by my friend, Zenia. Both of these will be shown soon.
2. Quilt 5 QOV tops. Done! Actually, I was only sent two this month, but I also quilted the two mentioned above and three small quilts for the VA hospital. So I’m calling this done.
3. Baste another top for hand quilting. Not done. I decided I would keep working on my Dutch hexies instead.
4. Finish my little hexie quilt. Done!
5. Finish one UFO. Not done. However, I made great progress on my Dutch hexie UFO, so I’m not too upset.
What else did I do?
I finished my string quilt.
And I finished this Christmas quilt.
Time to think about December. I would like to:
1. Make swap blocks.
2. Finish my Dutch hexies quilt.
3. Prep another handwork project for the holidays.
4. Start working on my vintage Many Trips UFO.
5. Choose another UFO to work on.

I finished the QOV I was working on late last night. This morning, I am stitching labels.
And not too soon, I’m presenting this one today after church!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We enjoyed good food and time with family. Daughter #1 brought her puppy over and the three musketeers had a great play.

I made a table this week to go with the chairs from Shasta.
The table top looks so thick! Oh, well!
I also made the shelves in the kitchen wider. I think it looks better this way.
And since I put up my Christmas tree, I decided to put one in here too.
I also sealed the floors using this:
I wish I had done that before I spilled paint on them. 🤷🏻♀️ Too late!

I love myAccuquilt die cutter! It makes accurately cutting out pieces for quilts like the one above a snap! I’m sure you would love it too.
I’m not sure why this wasn’t announced until an hour ago, but Accuquilt has really sweetened their Black Friday deals!
As soon as I got the email about this, I went to the site and purchased some things off my wishlist. If you have a die cutter and you are looking for dies, now is the time! My understanding is that these deals are good through the weekend.

These blocks were made during a Military Mystery Quilt Along hosted by Alycia over a year ago. They ended up on my UFO list this year.
After making all the blocks, I ended up using some of them to make this QOV.
I put the rest of the blocks away and forgot about them. I was looking at my list of goals this month and thought, just maybe I could squeeze in one more QOV if I used these bits.
I still have to prepare for Thanksgiving and watch my littles today. But maybe….

The top of my Christmas quilt is together. I hope to get this quilted and the binding machine sewn before the weekend so I can relax with the hand stitching this weekend.
I’ve been listening to this book. I find it quite interesting. I will say that I feel a bit lost now and again, Temple Grandin is quite a ways above me on the IQ scale.
E1 and E2 helped me trim my tree! Winslow has been doing her best to untrim it. 🤦🏻♀️
I have a new quilt inspector.
