Vintage Star Top

I have decided to set aside knitting for a while in favor of hand quilting. I’ve put off quilting this top because it needed a few repairs.

Like this:

This was the closest I could come to a matching fabric. Not perfect, but it is a faded scrappy top so it will do.

Here is one of my repairs. I think it looks worse in photos.

I hope to get this basted so I can start quilting today!

Have a good one.

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

Isn’t crazy how we put things off then once we get “at them” it really didn’t take that long. Love the top and I am sure to love your quilting as well.

  3. Nice save on this lovely vintage quilt..hugs, Julierose
