Lori at Humble Quilts hosts a doll quilt swap once a year. It’s always fun to take part. Confession time: that little pyramid quilt that I shared here was supposed to be my swap quilt. But the thing with a swap is, you have to send something that you would love to receive. And at the end of the day, I liked my little quilt, but I didn’t love it.
So I’ve started again.
I had not done any foundation paper piecing in a long time, but the quilt I wanted to make lent itself to it. Here is my paper piecing set up.
That pan to the right of the photo is where I trim all my little bits after sewing each seam. The one on the left holds my scraps that I’m using. I have to say, I love my Juki with the auto thread cutter for this! And here is one part of my quilt.
I used my EQ7 program to draw and print my paper foundations. My top is done and I’m ready to start quilting. Here is a sneak peek.
I already want to keep this, so I know this one will be good to send!
