Since my trial run 9 patch worked well, I moved ahead on this little project.

Can you see where I’m headed with this? Have a good one!

I finished my mug rug!
It’s just the right size for a cup of coffee or tea and a cookie.

I kept the quilting simple.

Now, I am hungry for cookies! Have a great day!
I found something I wanted to make, but I would need to end up with half inch finished squares. Soo decided to try a sample using some scraps of this.
It is a fusible patterned grid.

I cut these squares just under one inch and fused them onto the grid.

This is how it looks from the back.

Then fold on the grid lines and stitch.

After stitching, slice the fold off.

And press seams open.

Here is the back after sewing the cross seams and pressing and trimming.

Pretty accurate!

Looks like this will work.

Stay tuned for a future small project. Have a great day!
This is from the last batch of QOVs I quilted for the Stitching Sisters QOV group. This top was made by Nadine.

Have a great day!
Daughter #3 recently sent a text from an estate sale and asked if I was interested in a quilt for $2. Um, yeah! It had a certain folk art charm that I couldn’t resist.

My first thought was to take it apart and remake it as I’m not a fan of tied quilts.

You can see above the great disparity of black communities sizes! I like Vedder this cowboy fabric in the border.

How about that massive self binding?

I love the backing fabric.

I think I am going to enjoy this one as is. It adds a great pop of color to me sewing room.

Have a great day!
I picked up a clipboard at a local discount store to use to display some of my little quilts.

I had seen some neat frames with a clip like this that people used to display small quilts and I thought just using a clipboard would be cool.

Clipboards have almost become a thing of the last really. Maybe I should paint it or dress it up somehow.

I have this hanging in my hallway for now, but you could use a plate stand to put it on a table top as well. I think I’m going to like this.
Have a great day!
I visited Daughter #3 on the west side of the state recently . She took me here. This is a family owned chain in southwest Michigan.

Wow! What a great fabric store! I hit up a second location on my way out of town on Friday. Here is the wall of clearance fabrics.

You can’t tell from this pic how big this place is. They have every kind of fabric you could want as well as notions galore.

This is the second time this year I bought fabric. This is what I bought, all on clearance from $1.97-4.97/yard.

A who,e back my good friend,Donna bought me this beautiful FQ bundle.

Daughter #3 found this coordinating fabric and bought me a couple yards.

Look for something made from these lovelies soon!
Have a great day!
Martingale recently had one of their warehouse sales and I picked up the following wing quilt books for just $6 each.

I don’t buy that many books anymore, but I’m really pleased with these.

But mostly, I’ve been reading this.

Cesar says I should expose Winslow to as many different things as possible at a young age so these things won’t freak her out when she is older. This is where I found her after vacuuming.

Yep, hiding behind the couch. Looks like I have more work to do. Have a good one!
I’ve finished my little quilt for the swap hosted by Lori at Humble Quilts and I’m pLeased as punch with it!

I hand quilted it.

This backing is not technically a repro fabric, but it suits and it’s fun.

Asa reminder, this was my inspiration quilt.

And this is my version.

I hope my swap partner likes it! Have a great day!

That’s it for the show. I hope you enjoyed the highlights!
