I finally got around to cutting more 1 1/2 inch squares for my four patch leaders/enders.
As I make four patches, they go into this bin.
When I get a group of 25 done, they move to this bin and I update my totals on the post it note.
I think I have all my background squares cut now.
I made this block while working on the chisel stars. It is 16 1/2 inches unfinished.
Bringing my total to a whole two!
I think I will need 36 of these to get the size quilt I want. Eventually I’ll get there. Have a great day!
The best thing about leader / ender quilts is that they feel like “free” quilts!
Already it is beautiful, says this 1800’s fabrics lover! Love your enamel ware containers too!
Katy, I love these blocks!! Civil War reproduction fabrics have always been my favorites!!
I have quite a stash of Civil War reproduction fabric/scraps so I think I need to consider this pattern ….thanks for the inspiration!! I also have been considering nine patches, so I need to make up my mind, and then start cutting fabric!!!
Enjoying looking at what you are working on, LOVE civil war fabrics, I have a real thing for the shirtings/neuetrels. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO pretty!
