This week’s update was brought to you by eggs.
I used all the flat parts of the carton and an old rotary cutter blade to turn a couple egg cartons into these.
They are bricks! I wanted to add some bricks to the outside.
I glued them to card stock and then the whole piece to the house.
I used the same technique to create a fireplace for the inside.
It isn’t glued in place yet. I’m still trying to decide about painting walls in there.
Little by little, it’s getting done! Have a great day!
How clever is that!!! I’m looking forward to watching this little house progress!
Sure breaks up the … er… monotony of the plain wall! Excellent addition to the little house.
Clever!
It’s so much fun to see you enjoy this alternate creative fun. I would have never thought to use egg cartons for bricks! Brilliant!
That is so clever!! It was a great idea to first glue the pieces to card stock. Dummy me would have been trying to glue them to the walls. haha
Your bricks are wonderful! Such a neat idea! Hugs,
KATY!! This is just brilliant. Holy moly, they look just like bricks. WOWEE. Your creativity amazes me – I never would have thought an egg carton would be perfect for bricks. LOVE this series. ~smile~ Roseanne
These bricks look wonderful! When I first saw the egg carton, I thought they would need to be painted but once you had them on the wall, they look great as they are! Would you be interested in getting furniture? If so, send me your address and I can send you a package.
Neat!
