Have you tried these? It seems they are the latest gadget to take the quilting world by storm. Here’s one of many I found on Amazon.

The reviews are great. They all say it is like pressing your pieces from both sides at the same time because of the way the wool holds the heat.
I’ve considered buying one, but they are a bit pricy. Then someone I follow on IG suggested buying a saddle pad for a horse. They are the exact same material, half inch thick and 100%wool. Hmmm…. I did a bit of research and bought one from State Line Tack.

This one measures a whopping 30 by 30. There was a coupon code for a first purchase so I got this shipped for about $30. I plan to cut mine into one 20 x 30 piece and then have one or two smaller bits for travel or to put by my machine.
And how did it work?

The seams are very flat. I compared this to a block ironed on my regular table and I do feel this gives a better result.
I think this is a gadget that will live up to the hype. It does have a bit of a wooly smell, but that seems to be lessening already.
No affiliation here. Just a happy customer so far.
Have a great day!
