Slow Stitching Sunday ~ Dutch Hexies

Are you sick of this yet? I was so excited to reach this point!

Then I needed to mark seams for more background pieces. No EPP here.

I’ve been adding background pieces around the whole thing.

Then I’ll need to have a think about where to go next. Watching The Crown has kept me going on this. I still have these hexies I could use; there are 9 of each.

And I have one of each print in this pile. They measure about 7 by 12 inches.

Here is the selvedge.

I wish I had something for a good strong border. I’m sure I’ll figure out something, I just hope I figure it out soon!

Happy Sunday!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

Being Dutch, those fabrics surprised me. Very pretty and unknown to me. They are probably from Den Haan & Wagemaker?

  2. No way am i sick of this beauty–it always makes me smile to look at it;)))
