November/December Goals

Here are the goals I set for myself for November,

1. Arrive safely in Arizona. Done!

2. Acquire some furniture. Done!

3. Set up a new sewing space. It’s work in progress. ๐Ÿคจ

4. Start hand quilting my triangle quilt. Not done.

5. Finish piecing my churn dash top. Done!

What else did I do?

I made progress on my Liberty Hexies.

And started my hourglass quilt. Not much on the sewing front. For December:

1. I want to quilt and finish my churn dash quilt.

2. Finish Liberty Hexies.

3. Finish the Hour Glass quilt.

4. Finish my 36 patch quilt.

Is this realistic? Heck, no! But you just never know….

Have a good!

Another UFO

These strips were on my UFO list to finish this year.

The problem has been that I’m not sure what to do with them. Originally, I planned to make another quilt like this.

But this vintage quilt is also a possibility.

Either way, I’ve begun sewing print strips to back ground strips.

I just need to decide already. Hmmmm…..

I also wanted to give a big thanks to all that read my affiliate sales posts and shopped them this weekend. I so appreciate your support of my blog.

Have a great day!

Slow Stitching Sunday

Remember this? I got it all basted and brought it along to hand quilt.

But not a single stitch has happened. We will have company this week and I’d like to start this so I can quilt and visit. First, I need to decide how to quilt it.

Yep, I brought my fan stencil! But I only brought a small hoop.

So I’m trying to decide if there is a more efficient way to quilt this that won’t frustrate me with this small hoop. I really hope inspiration hits today so I can get started.

Have a great day!

It includes a GO! Cutter, a die with two different squares and two half square triangles and the cutting mat. You can make dozens of different quilts with just this one die. With $150 off, this set is on sale for $149.99. And today, you can use the code, FRIDAY20, to get an additional 10% off, bringing the price to just $134.99! As many of you know, I am an affiliate for a few companies. That means if you purchase an item from them after clicking on one of my links, I make a small commission. It doesn’t cost you any more, but it helps me to offset the cost of keeping this blog. It isn’t cheap due to the large amount of storage required to write every day for over ten, no, eleven years!

I would never represent a product or company that I am not sold on myself. I will be sharing a few more posts over the next few days to let you know about some other great sales coming up. and I’ll be shopping too. ๐Ÿ˜„ Thanks so much for your support!

Thankful

It goes without saying that this past year has been rough for everyone. And yet there is still so very much to be thankful for.

God is still good, very good. Today I will spend Thanksgiving with our Arizona kids. I’m so very thankful to be able to spend time with them here.

And I’m thankful for all of you that I have come to know through this World Wide Web.

Thank you for visiting, for sharing, for encouraging.

Have a wonderful day!

Liberty Hexies

I found a couple things that might work for the background of my Liberty Hexies.

I’m leaning toward the red for an outside border.

I kind of like the green, but the cream gives more contrast.

I’ve been considering hand appliquรฉ to attach the Hexies to the background. Not sure about that yet.

Have a great day!

Hour Glass Blocks

Finally a bit more sewing on these blocks cut from men’s shirts.

They have widely varied fabric content which adds an element of difficulty to the sewing. But the shirts have a lot of sentimental value. I placed the blocks I had finished on the wall so the length and width is shown.

This keeps me motivated as I can see exactly how much is left to do.

I’d forgotten how much I enjoy using my Singer 301! Willy seems to get into every photo I take.

Silly pup. Have a great day!
