I really need to come up with a name for this! I finished all my blocks.

I thought I would add sashing and cornerstones.

But decided to go with alternate plain blocks. I wish I had a bolt of this gray fabric. It’s so useful!

I don’t use purple often, but I had some purple and black scraps and I got an idea. I used these Accuquilt dies from my 8” Qube.

I already had most of the triangles that I needed in my triangle bin.

I love how accurate these dies are, just leave a wee bit showing at the corners….

….on both sides and press toward the triangles.

Now look what happens when I add the next triangle.

That perfect alignment leads to this.

So far so good!

I visited 35th Avenue Sewing World last week. I loved these two samples, they had displayed!

Grand dog, Bambi, likes to help me sew.

We put up our tree and the dogs are loving it!

Our neighbors are really into the spirit!

Finally got back to working on this.

I need to figure out how to quilt the border. A couple good movies and the quilting could be done. Speaking of good movies. The mister and I just watched this.

There is a book by the same name. I just finished the book and then I had to see this. You can find more info about it here. No affiliation, just wanted to share. Walking the Camino is a bucket list item for me. Maybe someday.

Another dream came true recently! Hubby and I took classes to learn to ride last summer. He got his bike before we left Michigan, and I found mine out here.

It’s a 2015 Harley Davidson XG 750 with a retro custom paint job.

I hadn’t ridden since our classes last summer, but after spending a lot of time practicing in the neighborhood, we ventured out to my happy place, the White Tank Mountains.

My dad rode. Here is a photo of him with his last bike, a Honda Shadow. He loved that bike. He rode when he was quite young, quit for a while, and picked it up again when I was in college. When I came home from school, he’d take me on a long ride and we’d go out for lunch.

He rode up until the summer before he went to Jesus.

I wish I could ride with him now. Miss you, Dad.
