Crafting and Thrifting

Mr. Wonderful and I enjoy thrifting. It’s the thrill of the hunt I suppose! He was initially a bit unsure when I found this though.

Very 1980’s, wouldn’t you say? But I saw some potential. I walked to the other side of the store and picked up a different shade. I donated this one back at the checkout. Total bill? $7.

Next we headed to Lowe’s for a can of spray paint.

After a good clean and a bit of disassembly, I was ready to paint.

Ta daaaaa!

Ignore the newspaper underneath, I didn’t want to set it directly on the table until it was cured for a few days.

I’m quite pleased with this little project! Mr. Wonderful loves it too. 😊

  7. Much improved! The turquoise cacti just wasn’t doing it. I am inspired to change the shade on one of my lamps now.
