I decided to make a few more blocks from the book before I set these together.

Here are the three I’ve done so far.

My 4” and 6” Qubes are coming in handy!
I think I’ll tackle this one next.

Have a great day!

I’ve shared this quilt before, but I always think of it as my Easter quilt so I am sharing it again. It is an expression of Ephesians 2:8-9 that says it is by grace that I am saved through faith, not by my good works or good intentions. Though at times, I have tried to reach a place of communion with my God by means of good deeds, truly I can only reach this place by means of His grace. This quilt is a reminder to me that I don’t have to be good enough because His grace is sufficient. When I couldn’t reach Him, He came down to reach me.
Happy Easter!
Mr. Wonderful sent me roses last week before he got here. They are still stunning!

I’m still puzzling away!

If this doesn’t describe my kitchen skills, I don’t know what does.

Daughter #1 sent me this photo of what she found when she came downstairs early one morning. All three boys with their Christmas quilts!

Remember when I said I was hoping to find one more stretcher blanket to finish covering my design wall? I found it!

Have a great day!
My leader/ender quilt is finished! I think this is a new favorite.

I kept the quilting very simple.

Gosh, I love scraps!

I had no idea that JoAnn’s carried wide flannels. I actually picked this big chunk up at Goodwill, but it had JoAnns on the selvedge.

It hasn’t been washed yet, but I’m expecting it to get even cozier.

Have a great day!
Mr. Wonderful is back in Arizona! That means less sewing time (and very slow responses to comments), but I’m totally good with that! Here is a look back at a post from five years ago. Enjoy!
I told you this was shaping up to be a quick finish! Daughter #2 and hubby indulged me in taking a few out door pics while out and about.
This top was pieced from two charm packs and some yardage when I was still in Arizona. The fabric is a very old American Jane line called Fairy Tales or something like that. The small squares finish at 1.5 inches.
I love this backing fabric.
ETA: A free pattern for a similar quilt is available for Cloud 9 Fabrics here.
Have a great day!
This is moving along quite nicely! The pattern is called Shipshewana Remembered, but I’ve decided to call mine, Surprise Remembered. Surprise is the name of the town we live in here in Arizona. It has scraps of so many projects completed here.
BTW, this is not my pattern, but it is available on Etsy.

It is 48 inches square at this point. I’m thinking about adding a pieced border. That will use a few more squares!

Have a great day!
I picked up this lamp a while back.

I used Rustoleum Heirloom White spray paint to update it.
After painting and a thrifted shade, I’m loving it!

I wanted one that would coordinate with the one I did last year.

That was fun! I’m always amazed at how paint can transform something.
Have a great day!
Since I still have lots of 2 1/2” squares in my bin, I decided to work on another bucket list quilt that requires these.

The pattern is called Shipshewana Remembered.

This would be a great leader/ender project, though I’m just powering through.

Four more star points and it will be time to figure out the background.

Have a great day!
I went ahead and used the cream solid for the background of this little quilt.

I decided to quilt this with red thread.

I hope I don’t regret that!
Have a great day!
It’s been a good month here. I’m rather sad that it is over! Anyway, here are most of the things I finished this month. A few finishes will be carried over into April. They are done, but not shared yet.
I’m quite taken with the colors in this one.

This was finished back in January, but I couldn’t share it until March. It is the Layer Cake Loop pattern from Fat Quarter Shop .

The jelly roll quilt!

This was so fun!

And finally, this one was made with blocks gifted by a friend.

As I mentioned, more was finished. I’ll share those things soon.
Have a great day!
