Desert Therapy

I was feeling rather unsettled about some things last week. After running some errands, I headed toward the mountains. Turns out that was just what I needed.

It’s a place where I can listen and learn.

The beauty is unmistakable, thorns and all.

It is a place of resilience.

It is ancient.

There is life and death, and beauty in both.

I hope today that you will be able to find a place that restores your soul. A place where you can listen and hear the whisper of God.

Quite the forest of cacti you have there. Out away from the maddening crowds.
. .. crowded thinking, crowded living, out to where nature can whisper and we are finally able to hear. I pray the message you got was good. Keep listening to the whispers of our Lord.

Time alone in nature is good for the soul. I hope to find some time in the sunshine right in my own back yard today. I’m recovering from Covid and pneumonia. It’s been a long haul so far but I’m doing well.

We all need some quiet reflective time in this chaotic world. Glad you recognized the need. Though for me that HD would scare the heck out of me. Braver girl than I.
