Slow Stitching Sunday

Progress is being made! I have one row of fans done on three outside edges.

They show up best on the back. I normally prefer much closer quilting, but I think it works on this utility quilt.

I was asked about the thread and needles I’m using here.

That is number 5 DMC perle cotton in Ecru. The needles are the correct size and type, but I wouldn’t recommend this brand.

Have a great day!

I really adore your quilting!! Baptist fan is so fun, so forgiving and makes such lovely texture…dresses up your quilt so much!

how do you start and end such a thick thread?

One of my favorite verses and I am seeing lately in so many places. At a shipping facility while mailing a package, was taped on a pole. The clerk was less then friendly, then I mentioned that the verse was a favorite, she perked right up. Our church was facing some challenges and we started our meeting with Jeremiah 29:11. On the quilting front, what needles do you recommend?

  5. That’s such a pretty quilt – the colors are so calming. I like the use of the ecru thread, too. One of my favorite verses! Happy Sunday, Katy!
