My great nephew is graduating this year and my niece asked me to make a t-shirt quilt for him. She brought me 60 shirts!
Here is a start after rough cutting.
I’m getting a late start on this because I haven’t been able to get interfacing. I ordered a bolt over a month ago and it hasn’t been shipped yet. I finally was able to get four packages of this to pick up curbside at my local JoAnns.
I ran out, but I put in another order and hope to pick it up tomorrow.
I have 8 shirts made from this dri-fit fabric. I haven’t used these before.
I have a long ways to go. This will be my big project for this week. Have a great day!
Good luck….both with the quilt and getting interfacing.
Hi Katy! I have one to make for a graduate this May/June. I have all the t-shirts cut and interfaced . . . I just haven’t felt like sewing. I’ll need to get going this week for sure as the deadline is looming. ~smile~ Roseanne
I have put some of the dri-fit shirts in a quilt before, and they work in well. Putting in the interfacing is the biggest challenge, but it works. It will be a beautiful quilt!
