While perusing Instagram recently, I came across a post by Annette Plog . She had saved this magazine from 2005 and is starting to make this cover quilt.
I recently sorted most of my quilting magazines, but I saved this issue because I also love the cover quilt.
And then I remembered that I already had a pile of sawtooth star blocks from the last block swap organized by Barb. I went to the stash and found this perfect yellow!
I used this die to cut my squares.
Perhaps I should call this one, Serendipity!
Mine will be smaller than the magazine quilt, but a perfect size for hanging. I just need to make a few more blocks and cut some triangles. I’m really excited about this one!
Have a great day!
Love it, Katy!
Oh Kathy i love it!
Thanks for the inspiration.
Wow. It looks great.
This will be great! I spy one of the blocks I made for the swap: fun!
Look at you go! I love it!
It was obviously meant to be! 😀
Oh my GOSH!!! How cool is THAT?? Serendipity is the perfect name for it.
Looks good. I love an inspiration to finish a project.
What a beautiful quilt in process…I love that yellow–a really pretty one–I think good yellows are hard to find (sung to the tune of “A Good man is hard to find, you always get the other kind”..hahaha) anyhoo–I do love how this is coming together
