The tumbler quilt is in timeout. I opened the neutral jelly rolls. That’s the hardest part, right?
I sorted into groups of eight that are roughly alternating light and dark.
Sew these into pairs send press to the darker strip.
Sew the whole thing into a tube.
Time to dust off this Accuquilt die!
I used it to crosscut my strip set.
Easy peasy!
Use the seam ripper to open the tubes into strips like this.
And sew them together.
One block done, a bunch to go. Have a great day!

I’m so glad I read this post! I have 55 more blocks to make for my scrappy trips, 32 of which are already strip-sets. I can’t wait to cut them w/my AccuQuilt 2 1/2″ strip cutter! This will speed things up quite a bit! Why don’t I think of these brilliant things?! Thanks Katie!
Everything about this project looks like so much fun!
You make that look so easy!
Tumbler trauma, so timeout? Haha! This new project has some fun potential. I look forward to seeing it progress!
