Did you know this was even a thing? Moda was the inventor of jelly rolls, a a lovely roll of 40-42 2 1/2 inch wide strips, one from each print of a collection. Other fabric companies jumped on board , though their rolls are known by other names. Copyright and all that. Anyway, in honor of the day, I thought I would share a few jelly roll quilts that I have made.
Did this put you in the mood to break open one of your own jelly rolls? I hope so! They really are fun to work with.

You used French General jelly rolls for that granny square quilt? I would sure love to know more about your process or a hint at a pattern. It’s a great quilt!
Val’s comment cracked me up—I only have one jelly roll too!
You have so many beautiful jelly roll quilts! I love the Amy Butler one and have been wondering what to do with my AB stash – now I know. I’ve the perfect fabric for the border and blocks. Thanks so much for this inspiring post!
Love that quilt
Well, that was a fun mini quilt show! Thank you. I have a half jelly that I’m thinking about sewing up today. I just need to settle on a pattern while I finish my morning coffee (late start to the day).
Wow! Love those quilts! Did someone say sale?? I’m in trouble I think 😋
Beautiful quilts, Katy! You definitely know your way around a jelly roll. My one and only jelly roll is still waiting to be called into action. I’ve unrolled and rerolled it a few times so at least it gets a little exercise.
What a wonderful collection of jelly roll quilts you’ve created! WOW!
