A quilting friend needed purple scraps. I found some for her, put them in a baggie and now I can’t find the baggie. Ugh.
We painted rocks at our last church craft night. The ones the other gals did were so amazing! Mine are pretty humble, but it was fun.
Some of you commented about my finding treasures in the drawers of my newly refurbished card catalog. And you were right!
I love listening to audio books. I listened to this on my trip home from Wisconsin and I really enjoyed it.
I stopped at a quilt shop on the way and picked up these 20 fat quarters for only $10! They should make some fun baby quilts.
I grew up Catholic, though I attend a nondenominational church now. When I was home, I went to mass with my sister at the church I went to as a child. They have recently remodeled much of it. But the parts I loved most have remained the same.
And the homily that the priest gave was the exact message I needed to hear that day.
This is a terrible photo, but one day last week, I looked out my back window to see this cardinal family. I had never seen a momma, daddy, and baby together before.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Love Mave Binchey books. Wow! Are you exceptionally lucky to see a cardinal family! They are very secretive and protective. Neat.
Audio books are the best. The fat quarters are lovely. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing cardinals only a couple of times…in the spring before the babies were out of their nest. Thank you for the wonderful post and the beautiful photos.
I haven’t read that Maeve Binchy book, so I may have to add that to my list. One series I read years ago was the Miss Julia series by Ann B. Ross, and of course the Mitford series by Jan Karon. Loved both of them! Fun little discovery in your cabinet drawer! Haha. 20 FQs for $10 is a great deal! I love the one with the eyeglasses.
Maeve Binchy! Have read all her books…. but haven’t seen this one!!!
