DWMonday

It was a busy weekend around here! Daughter #3 got engaged last month and this past weekend was all about dress shopping. I did sneak in a few stitches, but I’m still feeling a bit scattered.

This is where Gee’s Geese are at:

And the 16 patch is quilted.

And I’m thinking about a new project with these:

If I finalize that design, I might get cutting today.

I got one more daisy back done yesterday. I appreciate all the comments regarding the layout. You all got me thinking! I love the idea of putting them on point and/or using a plain alternate block. There are 20 blocks in the set and I won’t make any more. But I will definitely give the lay out more thought. So thanks to all who weighed in on this!

I love the geese! I see in your second photo that you have a measuring tape positioned on the pole beneath your take up pole. Do you have another one mounted on the belly bar?, and one on the bar that the top would be attached to if you aren’t floating it? Lately, I’ve had a strange thing happening. I keep my side borders lined up well, but by the time I get to the bottom of my quilt, the very center of the bottom has ‘sucked up’ by 3/4 to a full inch! I’m thinking I need to do one of two things. 1- stop floating my top, or 2- pin it straight across that center area, each time I roll it. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
When’s the big day planned from? Will her sister be back from deployment for the event?
Keeping your family in my prayers

PS someday I hope we can have a cup of tea together
