SMT Update

I decided this will be a throw quilt. I went ahead and did some scrap busting and cut enough pieces for about 180 blocks.

They will be set with alternate plain blocks, but I haven’t chosen that yet.

They are really piling up!

Have a great day!

This and That

I picked this up from FB Marketplace recently. The trays are removable. I will use it for my current WIPs.

This is so funny!

This mural is at a local museum.

Another puzzle finish.

Have a great day!

Art Haus and Something Big!

This lovely bundle arrived on my doorstep this week!

It is from Connecting Threads. The bundle is a line called Art Haus and the thread is from their Essential Threads line.

I wish you could feel this fabric. It is truly top notch. And that thread? It is definitely on par with those orange spools!

I have a plan for this bundle. To prepare, I broke open that tower of goodness and pressed it all.

Aren’t these great?

I can’t wait to cut them up! But I’m waiting…..because something big is coming from AccuQuilt …..

I’ve known about this for months and I can’t wait to finally share this with you all! Want to be the first to see this release? Click to <a https:="" shareasale.com="" r.cfm="" href="http://Register now for AccuQuil Live on April 15th at noon Central Time.

You might just see a few quilts from someone you know. 😊

If you need me, I’ll be waiting at the door for my order.

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Little 9 Patch

This was a quick little finish. I plan to use it on night stand in the guest room.

The quilting is not good. I’m so out of practice quilting on a domestic machine. But I want to get back to it so I can finish things while traveling in the RV.

The following photos show how distorted the piecing became. The first photo is before quilting.

This is after the first “grid” was completed.

After finishing quilting.

It doesn’t look too bad until you look at it this way. Ugh.

I’m hoping washing will help hide the wonkiness.

It’s still cute and will serve its purpose.

Have a great day!

Another?

You’ve already seen some the blocks I’ve been making for the Scrappy Meets Thrifty (SMT) sew along. I’ve had so much fun making these, that I decided to make a second version!

These bitty blocks have fewer pieces and feature the print in the center square. They will finish at 2 inches. These are the AccuQuilt dies I’m using. They are from the 4” Qube.

I grabbed a few 2 1/2” squares from a bin to get a tiny preview.

Looks like a perfect RV project to me!

Have a great day!

Fence Rail Blocks

I made these little four inch blocks from my log cabin block leftovers. In my mind, it seemed like a good idea. In reality, not so much.

I decided to give them some breathing room and I like this much better.

I wish I had more than an almost fat quarter of that background fabric. I could go scrappy there. I’ll have to think about it some more. I’m still not sure I like it enough to move forward.

Have a great day!

Little Nine Patches

Remember these from my orphan block collection?

I wanted a quick little project so I pulled them out along with these blues.

Not sure what I’ll do in the corners yet, but I love it so far!

Have a great day!

MarchWrap Up

I finished four quilts this month. I’m thrilled that this big one is done.

And I’m quite chuffed about this one.

Tiny Nines was another long term project. I’m really enjoying it.

And this baby quilt has found a home already.

I don’t know where March went. It feels like we should have a few more weeks of it yet!

Have a great day!

This and That

Mister Wonderful and I recently watched the following two movies. They aren’t new, but they were both fantastic! Definitely worth checking out.

This post really made me think. So true.

I’ve been working on organizing the fabric stash. It’s a never ending project.

The mister and I went up to Prescott recently. Our son in law raves about a pizza place there called Bill’s Pizza,. We had to try it. He wasn’t wrong! Yum!

Have a great day!
