You knew this was coming, didn’t you? 😁 Seriously, she shivers when I take her out at night and I haven’t found any clothes small enough. I’m also not willing to spend an arm and a leg. So I found this tutorial by The Crafty Gemini and made one out of scraps on hand.
It took a bit of tweaking, and I definitely got the stink eye.
But she looks cute and it keeps her warm. It took about 15 minutes total to make.

I can enter one or two items into the local art show for the same fee. So I’m trying to get something else ready to enter by Friday.
I haven’t worked with these skinny bits in a long while and I have a lot more exploring I want to do with this idea.

Last week, my craft group with friends from my church got together at my house. We made felt flowers. It was fun!
My Accuquilt die cutter came in very handy! I cut circles and leaf shapes.
Here are my finished flowers. I wanted to make a wreath. They are not yet attached to the hoop.

Meet my new puppy, Winslow!
She is a Bichon/Yorkie/Coton de Tulear mix and she was born February 1st.

I’ve been working on Quilts of Valor for my Stitching Sisters QOV group this week. As usual, I’m just quilting these and have NO info on patterns. this first top was pieced by Pat.
The panto for the above quilt is called Worm Trails and I had it custom made to be 16 inches wide. It is available from Urban Elementz .
This next one was pieced by Mary Kay.

I finished this up Wednesday night and planned to take pictures Thursday morning. Mother Nature had other plans.
I headed to the west side of the state Thursday afternoon to visit Daughter #3 and it was raining when I left home, so I took it with me hoping for better weather along the way. It rained almost all the way there. But about ten minutes from her house, the clouds parted, the rain stopped, and I was able to get pics on her fence!
The quilting lines are very close. I’ve heard this called matchstick quilting. It takes forever, but I think it’s worth it for a piece like this. I used a facing instead of a binding to finish the edges.
There is a local art show coming up and this will be one of my entries. I need to get moving on the other one!

I’ve been working on another Fat Quarter Shop Remix project. I’m using these fabrics from al older Paula Barnes line called Carolina Blues.
I used these dies from Accuquilt along with my die cutter to cut my pieces.
Here they all are! I love a pretty pan of pieces!
And here are bits of the first few blocks.
These take a while to make, but I’ve enjoyed the process.

I decided to play with these free pieced curves.
There are so many things you can do with them. Piecing them is easier than you think. Maybe I’ll do a tutorial. Not that I’m an expert, but I’m getting better at it.
Just doing it 16 times, you learn a few things.
This is not the final layout….at least I don’t think so.
