I’ve started a new leader/ender project. No, I haven’t finished the last one!
I’m making two different 4 inch blocks.
I’ll play more with layouts when I get more done. I’m in no hurry with this. It is nice to see all those half square triangles piling up though.

I finished my JuneQOVs before the end of June! Again, I have no pattern info, but if you check the comments below, someone may chime in with help on that front.
I’ve been pulling out some older pantographs this month.
I’d forgotten how much I like this one.
The pantograph on this next one is called Amoebas Gone Wild. I use this one a lot. It looks good, but doesn’t distract from the great piecing.

I’m finally getting around to working on my June Quilts of Valor. The pantograph I used on the first one is called Modern Twist.
The pantograph for this one is called Barb.
And the pantograph used here is called Sound and Vision.

I saw Cecile’s applique blocks from the Ladies Aid Sampler hosted by Barbara Brackman and fell in love with them. You can see here’s on her blog, Patchwork Inspirations. So I decided to try a few blocks myself.
Barbara is hosting this BOM over on her blog, Civil War Quilts. You can find info about the BOM here. I will use the back basting method of hand applique. Can you see that I traced the pattern on the back of my block?
I’ve chosen my applique fabrics and I’m ready to dive in.

My sister gave me this awesome puzzle! I love jigsaw puzzles and this one was really fun.
Mr. Wonderful bought me this. My first Lego set! It is another kind of puzzle.
I spent several days visiting my sister and her girls. We had to take pics in our matching shirts.
Her husband gave me this amazing chest. It was handmade by his great grandfather. I’ve always loved this! The copper details are incredible.
Winslow and Willy got new hats.

I finished my little doll quilt and Winslow decided she liked it! Nice to have in-house quality control, I suppose.
I’m so glad I doubled up in the quilting.

My parents gave these vintage blocks to me for Christmas decades ago. They were my very first vintage blocks and I was over the moon! I set them with this green fabric I found, but never finished the top.
I’m not sure why. I think that green never felt right to me. You can see my piecing wasn’t great either.
I think this green was what I had in mind at the time, but I couldn’t find it anywhere in the late 1980s.
So I’m thinking about taking this all apart and starting over. I don’t love the idea of picking all those seams out, but I think they deserve it.
Willy thinks I can do better now. I’m still thinking……

Daughter #3 picked this top up for me while she was at an antique shop recently. Isn’t it beautiful?
The blocks are only about 4.5 inches.
This needs some repairs, but it will be hand quilted for sure.

I’ve decided to hand quilt this vintage top next. I think originally, the green alternate blocks were all the same, but they faded.
I’ve been playing with my Apple Pencil and an app called YouDoodle, to come up with a quilting plan. Ideally, I want something that I don’t have to mark and that is easy to work on in the car.
This decision is why it has taken so long for me to get started. I’m not in love with any of these. I need to break out of my Baptist Fan box. I thought of doing huge cables running from one side to the other. But there is that no marking thing.
I need to figure this out soon or I may start another disastrous knitting project.
