Slow Stitching Sunday

I saw Cecile’s applique blocks from the Ladies Aid Sampler hosted by Barbara Brackman and fell in love with them. You can see here’s on her blog, Patchwork Inspirations. So I decided to try a few blocks myself.

Barbara is hosting this BOM over on her blog, Civil War Quilts. You can find info about the BOM here. I will use the back basting method of hand applique. Can you see that I traced the pattern on the back of my block?

I’ve chosen my applique fabrics and I’m ready to dive in.

Wish me luck!

Very pretty classic fabrics. I’m also doing this project and so far, also using back basting – probably my favorite appliqué method!
