Monkey Wrench Blocks

Even though these blocks were hand pieced, it still took forever to take them all apart. But they are finally done. I have recut them to a smaller size.

I used these dies from my AccuQuilt 4” Qube.

I just place the pieces on the die and run them through!

Aaaaaahhh! That’s more like it. It makes this OCD heart so very happy!

After recutting all the pieces for one block, they get clipped together again. I’m surprised how often I use these little clips!

And here is the first block, it will finish at 5”.

It would have taken less time to just cut new fabric, but I think this honors the maker while creating blocks that can actually be used. The variety of sizes to begin with, meant no chance that they would have fit together.

Have a great day!

I love, love, love the effort you put into unsewing all the pieces. How very gratifying it must feel to see them all trimmed to perfect smaller pieces. That is awesome and well worth the effort involved. Those clips are such a time saver.
