I decided to continue my little experiment and see if I could enhance the optical illusion with quilting.

The quilting is far from perfect. But I think I like it.

I grabbed a bit of an old yellow calico for the backing.

The next photo shows the quilting texture, which is both good and bad on a bit like this, every bobble and imperfection shows.


Amazing how difficult it is to get photos of this!

i think you’ve done a wonderful job on this. we are always our own worst critics. i remember when someone made me learn not to point out the problem. other people don’t see them. i do know that when we are looking so close behind the big machine, things stand out hugely. you did good. patti in florida
