Vintage Quilts Part 2

Here are the rest of the quilts I spotted at the antique fest.

Gotta love double pinks!

I love this border!

This caught my eye from afar, but it was a tied cheater quilt.

This one had lovely embroidery that was not colorfast. So sad!

This was probably my favorite!

The most darling crib quilt ever!

Oops…these butterflies are upside down.

Polyester double kit quilts are showing up as antiques!

I have one more to share with you. But it deserves a post of its own. It’s the one I brought home. 😊

Have a great day!

What a disappointment it must have been to see that the red one was a cheater cloth quilt. I have a cheater cloth double wedding ring that my MIL hand quilted with some of her friends from church. As she was not really a quilter, I feel pretty lucky to have this creation that no one else in the family wanted!!
BTW, I have had a very outdated computer for a while, and the browser would no longer open your blog, along with a handful of others. Today I got my new-to-me computer up and running and it is fun to be able to read your posts again.

I love the double pink quilt and I hope you reproduce the darling baby quilt. Looking forward to seeing what you brought home!!

  5. Oh, I’m not sure I could’ve left that double pink behind! I love that one!

I have some polyester double knit quilts my grandma made in the 70’s. Since I wasn’t a quilter while she was alive, I like having this connection to her. They make great beach and picnic quilts!
