My scrap buckets are starting to overflow, so it’s time to deal with them. I have two buckets, one for reproduction scraps, and one for modern/bright scraps. I was down to zero 2” cut squares in repro fabrics, so I decided to focus on that.

This is the die I’m using.

I can cut up to ten layers at a time with my AccuQuilt studio cutter and dies, so I could cut a max of 120 squares in a single pass!

Of course, I’m layering scraps so it doesn’t usually work out to that many each time. But I did make a lot of progress.

That bin is from this unit. I need to get my labels on!

My next task is cutting up these leftovers into 1 1/2” squares.

I’ll be using this die.

I came across these two big bins of white/off white scraps. They are a real mix of shades/manufacturers. Ugh. I don’t want to deal with these, but I hate having them go to waste.

I need to come up with a way to use these. Any ideas?
I’m back to cutting. Have a great day!
Maybe some strips so you can use them as sashing or try overdyeing them to make more interesting
I think mixed shade white scraps look good in scrappy 9 patch blocks or in an Irish chain.
You are making progress, while this old woman sits on the couch transfixed by old movies! I did finally finish a small wall quilt this week. And ruminated on the next quilt in the docket. I was going to do a 16 patch, but now I’m thinking of a variation of the jelly roll race. Less lining up of seams!
Alternating colored and background squares? Simple, but effective…https://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/2021/04/29/the-covid-quilt-finished/
I agree with with you… white and off whites scraps…. what’s a girl to do with them?
