I stitched my hour glass units into four patches. These took a while, but I had a good audio book to listen to.

This is the book. It made me laugh it loud at times.

My blocks finished at 6 inches. I was inspired by Keryn at Quilting Twin to add the plain blocks.

Once this is pieced, it will measure 48 by 60. I’ll probably add borders to make it a good throw size.
Have a great day!
That is really pretty!! I like the 4 sewn together and the block in between. I love audible books. I keep them downloaded to my iPad. I also take them with me in the car where I can Bluetooth it to the speakers. Hugs,
Sounds like a great book. I have requested it from my library.
I like both layouts, but those solid squares do let the hourglass blocks shine. Thanks for the book recommendation!
I love the neutral setting blocks, it really sets your blocks off.The Hourglass blocks made in just 2 fabrics look so different to mine, I really like the effect.

I too have found audiobooks to be a good accompaniment for extended sewing sessions. Hmmm, that setting is making me think I might want to adopt it for a pinwheel block mini quilt UFO I have. Also thrilled to see your “Farm Fresh” quilt featured again in yesterday’s Accuquilt Live show!
