Finish It Up Friday ~ Buckeye Beauty

I finished this while I was back in Michigan. I’m really glad this one is behind me.

You may remember that I used one of the Moda Cake Recipe pads to make the blocks. I didn’t really enjoy it.

This is the pantograph that I used to quilt it. It wasn’t the best choice. It showed well on the back, but was lost on the front.

I used a sheet for the back because I had one on hand. I do love this red print.

It finished at 60 by 80 inches. I’m trying to decide if it is suitable for a Quilt of Valor.

Have a great day!

I love it, in case it needs a home. My hubby is Vet.

I’m not sure I’d enjoy the cake mixes either but I love the block. I think your quilt turned out beautifully and would make a wonderful QoV.

  3. Of course it’s suitable for a QOV! It’s really a beautiful quilt.

Isn’t it funny how certain quilt patterns or fabric or combination of the two just dose not flip our switch. Lots and lots ofBrownie points for you for finishing it anyway!!

I think it would make a gret QOV

It is a beautiful quilt and I think it would work well for a QOV. I ordered the cake mix you used after seeing your earlier post on this quilt. Can’t wait to start it.
