We’ve been back in Michigan for a few weeks now and will very soon head back to the warmth of the desert. These guys have made it pretty warm here though!
Being Nana is the best! Check out this sky! The darkest area was a wall of clouds. Crazy.
I’m not a great cook, but I’ve used this muffin recipe for years. It’s a family favorite and I recently sent this photo to share with my kids. We make 12 big muffins from this recipe and skip the topping.
Daughter #2 has been dog sitting for me out in AZ. I sure miss these two!

Could you substitute butter for the shortening? I hardly ever use shortening in baking any more.

I sure love those three little faces (as well as the two in AZ). The boys are going to look so much alike when they’re grown. I could go for a muffin right now as I sit here with my morning coffee.
