Four years ago, I participated in a block swap hosted by Barb at Fun with Barb. It’s taken me ages to decide how to set these, but I’m glad I waited until I was truly happy with the plan.
These blocks were on my UFO list this year so that makes this finish even sweeter! The first three photos were taken before washing and the rest after. I’ve been asked why I wash newly finished quilts. I don’t always, but in this case, I wanted to be sure the marking own I used was completely removed ASAP.
Here’s a look at the back.
Here’s the same view after washing.
I really love the wide sashing. I’ve seen this on a lot of old quilts, but it’s the first time I’ve done it.
I think I will take this back to Arizona with me.
Have a great day!
love how you set the blocks and the quilting is fabulous!

What a wonderful quilt – just love it! It will grace your Arizona home with beauty.
Beautiful quilt. I love the design and the quilting makes it even better. I never was a fan of the churn dash block until I made 2 wall hangings with different variations. Now I love them and really enjoy seeing this block in a quilt. Happy new year.
TOTALLY worth the wait. I love everything about it, particularly the quilting. If this is what 2021 is going to look like, it will be a beautiful year!
& Happy New Year!
Really lovely!
