Here is another one to cross off the UFO list!
Once again, the quilting made all the difference.
My continuous curve in the hexies is not great, but it hardly shows. The parallel lines in the background really puts the emphasis on the hexies.
I love doing this border treatment as well. Here is the back.
And….oops….looks like I missed a few spots.
I was on the fence about the green, but I’m glad I went with it.
And here it is hanging in my hall.
Have a great day!
The quilting is just right for the patchwork design. That border design – and Baptist Fans – have become like signature quilting motifs for you 🙂
Very rich looking–tapestry-like–nice work on this…

Wow Katy, that quilt just keeps getting better with each step. It’s beautiful! The hexies appear to be floating on the green, no doubt inhanced by your brilliant choice of the parallel lines quilting. It looks perfect on your wall. Excellent finish!
The green looks great & your quilting certainly enhances the design. What are you using to hang this?
It looks wonderful! I do like the green and the outer border too. Your quilting just looks amazing. Can you tell us about the hanger you are using? Hugs,
Sorry- noticed auto correct changed my message to heroes instead of hexies.
WOW! Your liberty heroes is beautiful. The detail in the quilting just enhances it beautifully.
Wishing you and yours a wondrous happy and healthy 2021.
This is just SO strikingly pretty. I love your green background and your border, and your quilting is just perfect for it. It looks great on the wall. I just love everything about this stunner of a quilt!
Congratulations on a beautiful finish.
