The most exciting part of this DWM post, is that I do in fact HAVE a design wall!
This is the biggest one I’ve ever had. I’m really glad I had this project ready to go. I haven’t done any sewing yet, but as you can see, I’ve started laying this out.
I also bought an iron.
I know nothing about this iron. I needed one, it was on sale, and we had Kohl’s cash.
Thanks to everyone for for your suggestions for my warped quilt hanger! We read them all and I think we have the solution now. Hoping I can get it on the wall tomorrow. I will post a photo as soon as I can.
Have a great day!
Hurray for design walls! I am currently “between design walls” ha ha – hope to have one again someday. Yours looks practical and big enough for anything!!
i bought the same iron in the spring and am totally happy with it….hope you enjoy as well
Whoa! That’s some design wall, Katy. That’s going to be a huge quilt when you’re done with it.
Hello, I also have a Shark professional iron, 1800 watts. I have had it for about 8 months and I really like it. I don’t use water in it, I just spray everything as I iron. I love your quilt up on your big design wall. Hugs,
hi katy, love the design wall. i have a 4’x6′ one in my downstairs (bedroom) sewing ‘studio’. it works. you’ll have fun setting things up even tho it is tons of work. i bought the shark 1800 iron about two months ago (on sale at target). so far so good. it shuts off but comes back quickly. i have not put water in it yet. i like the bit of heft to it. enjoy. patti in florida
I bought a new iron this week, too — and two more as backups. I like the widely spaced setting for your churn dash blocks — a nice way to inaugurate your big design wall.
So exciting to see you getting all setup in the new space 🙂 Can’t wait to see your first finish!! ❤
Oh, you have a large design wall – I’m trying not to be envious! Have fun! I’ve heard good things about those irons, but never had one.
