I have felt restless all week. The only project I have really focused on has been quilting my Grandmother’s Flower Garden. I found these blocks and thought about putting them together.

I love the blocks. Do I want to make more?

I’ve stalled out on my leader/ender project lately. I did managed to make a few more four patch parts.

I looked at this project from my UFO list.

I just looked at it, didn’t actually do anything.

And I have five more QOVs to work on.

I had E2 and E3 here one day this week. I did some housework and stuff for church. But I just plain wasted a lot of time doing who knows what. I think I need some inspiration.

Perhaps today will bring just that. Have a good one!

  1. Me too… my productivity is way down these days… lots of wasting time doing I don’t know what!

You are not alone in feeling this way. I too lack motivation, however when I get an inspiration I can work on it all day. Really miss being able to be out with other people but know that I can’t at this time. This too shall pass.

Since you love those blocks, work on something you love. Make more.

Today I have decided I am over COVID! I feel like I have maintained a positive attitude up until this morning. I am tired of not going into my church sanctuary, I am tired of not getting together with my book club or bible study group, I am tired of not going on quilt retreats, I am tired of not getting together for lunch with friends, I am just sick and tired of this!!! There, got that off my chest.
Perhaps you are feeling the same way.
Yet I will plug on, comply with safety precautions and pray for a safe and effective vaccine.

  5. Some days are just like that. Maybe you just needed a day to rest a bit and ponder. Getting into the fall routine with school starting, helping your daughter with the boys, etc., all that changes the routine. Allowing rest is necessary too.

  6. You are not alone…I’ve been doing this on & off since March! I’ll get a spurt of motivation and finish a couple of things and then a week will go by where nothing gets done! It’s very frustrating. I hope yours passes quickly 🙂

This to shall pass. Don’t force it. Maybe this is your time to simply reflect.

  8. When I am restless I will often iron and cut scraps from my waiting basket into my “standard size” bins. It is soothing and feels productive.
