If my people who belong to me will humbly pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 CEB)
I made this quilt in the week following 9/11. The verse was machine quilted into the red stripes.
I never want another 9/11.
But I miss the people we were on 9/12.

About katyquilts
I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!
Beautiful quilt! I agree with you…I miss who we were as a country on 9/12. Its sad and disheartening to see what’s happening in our country today. Prayers will definitely get us through it!
Very well said and yes, there was a time when America did come together to heal and help each other through a crisis.
Such a beautiful tribute, Katy. I can’t think of a time that bible verse was needed more than now.
I too, miss the people we were on 9/12. I pray that we very soon will turn back to God and that our country will heal. HUGS… and stitches
