I cut these tumblers out a few years ago and then did nothing with them. This year they landed on the UFO list.
They finish at 4 inches tall. I have somewhere north of 800 of them in this bin, all cut from scraps.
Since I plan to spend time with one of my daughters, I packed up this project to take with me. She doesn’t have time off so I will sew while she is at work.
I really like these Iris bins from JoAnns. They are intended to hold 12 by 12 scrapbook paper. I like to use them for kitted up projects.
It is easy to tuck this into my suitcase along with any other sewing supplies I may need. She has a sewing machine I can use so this project is ready to go. Of course I’ll need a hand project as well. I better get that sorted next.
Have a great day!
Nice to have a project to take along – even nicer that your daughter has a sewing machine! I’ve never made a tumbler quilt but it’s on “the list” – safe travels!
