Courthouse Steps

I saw a little antique quilt on Pinterest.

I loved it and decided to make my own version of it using this die.

I love this die. I feel like it is a must have if you want to make log cabin blocks.

I didn’t want 12 inch blocks, do I only used half of the die and cut these.

Not bad, right?

Except that court house steps blocks don’t use all the same pieces. They use all the odd bits, 1 1/2, 3 1/2, 5 1/2 etc. I could use the leftover bits for something else, but I’m not sure what.

Back to the drawing board. Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!
