I Spy…..

….another quilt in the making!

I used this die to cut all the pieces.

I had just enough of this older Moda Marble fabric for the background.

I sewed one background piece to each print. I had two of each print so as I pressed these, I put one of each print in each pile.

I worked with just one pile to make the first half of the rows. This helps to insure that none of the pairs end up too close together. Here are the first seven rows.

I didn’t lay anything out ahead of time, I just grabbed random pieces to sew together. I’m loving it so far!

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

OH MY GOSH….that is so cute! I am bookmarking this for a future quilt with my gazillion novelties. And I love the darker background; I usually think of lights for backgrounds but I’m rethinking lots of things today….thanks for the eye candy.
