This and That

It feels like every day is filled with miscellany. Is that even a word? Anyway, I left a sewing machine at Daughter #3’s house and she decided to make masks for herself and dear SIL. We had a lesson in bobbin winding via text.

That should have said holes, not homes.

I made my other SIL his own mask.

My babies!

Mr. Wonderful brought these home. They smell heavenly!

I listened to this last week. It was a fun “read.” I think Mike Rowe is a great guy.

Wendy recommended this series to me a while back.

I had to go on a waiting list, but it was worth the wait. Have a happy…..Saturday? Is it Saturday? I think so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

See you have two sides to go on that hexie quilt. Going to be lovely.

I have used miscellany several times on my blog. Sometimes it is the only description I can find that makes sense.

  3. Miscellany is the perfect word! I make a list of things I want to accomplish and at the end of the day I look at it and laugh – barely any of it has been done 😦 I think we’re all feeling this weird sense of limbo – waiting for all this to be over so we can go back to normal. I’ve made several different patterns of masks trying to find one I like the fit. I think I’ve finally settled on the one by Bijou Lovely. Winslow & Willy are adorable as usual ❤

  4. Yes, miscellany is a word. One of those helpful words when you need a word that covers everything. Glad you were able to read the Kirkpatrick series. I should re-read them now. Your pups aren’t looking like pups so much any more! They are growing so fast. I’ve made a few face masks for family and friends, but my fabrics have been pretty boring; I need to step it up a bit! Those flowers look lovely!
