Sewing for Friends

I got to quilt this fun soccer quilt for a friend this week.

She asked for variegated thread, so I used this Rainbow from Superior Threads.

I think it turned out really cute!

This is the pantograph I used from Urban Elementz .

And here is the back.

The hubby of another friend bought her a couple photo blankets for Christmas. I’m really impressed with the print quality. But they feel a bit like felt. I added some warm, fluffy stuff on the back for her.

They are much cozier now. Have a great day!

  1. Piecing that quilt took some planning! The results are great. The recipient will be delighted, I’m sure.

How Fun and how nice of you. It was interesting to see a quilt done with variegated thread. I’ve wondered how that would come out when I see those spools at stores. You’re such a good friend.
