DWMonday ~ Neutral Scrappy Trips

I wasn’t too sure about this project, but I forged ahead.

My neutral loving daughter approves. The more blocks I make, the more I like it.

Of course, now I’m thinking it should be bigger than what I can make with these three jelly rolls. I don’t want to order anything, so I’m trying to see if I have what I need in my stash. I would need 24 more strips to get to the size I want.

Can you believe I don’t have any black at the moment? I feel like it needs more black and more lights, but white is too bright. Ugh.

My deadline for this got moved back, but I know myself. If I wait too long, I’ll lose all momentum. Time to think a while.

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

    It really looks great!

  4. Makes my little neutral (palette) was heart go pitter patter! Hit this one out of the ball park!

  5. It’s like a quilter’s Murphy’s Law, right? Never the fabric that you need, when you need it. I love how this is looking! Can you upcycle some black from somewhere? Hubby have a pair of trousers he won’t miss?? Hahaha!

Order a jelly roll. It looks great, and would be well worth it! Then make a whole ‘nother one with your stash!😉
