I have my tumbler top assembled. But when I stepped back to look at it, I started feeling like it should be bigger.
I don’t feel like cutting anymore for this, but I know I won’t be satisfied with it as is. It is in danger of heading back to the UFO pile. While pondering that, I pulled out this UFO.
This is decades old. All appliqué is done by top stitching. This has made the strips a bit wonky and wavy. But that green I used in the tumblers is inspiring me to finish this.
Stay tuned.
They go together! Happy Day! And Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you.
Ooo! These are going to look so great together!
Of course I can`t see proportions or true colors, but it looks as though the applique strips could make a nice border to the tumblers.
However I’m sure you will come up with something that you like.
I think your dissatisfaction with the tumbler quilt is that it’s too square — adding a couple of rows to lengthen it will improvde the proportions. You can do it! The vines are very nice — I’ll be sure to see you how set them.
Do you have a specific purpose in mind for the tumbler quilt? Perhaps having a destination will help you be more confident about size.
