No dollhouse work this week. Cleaning and sorting continues here and there in the sewing room. I put up these IKEA racks to help corral some of the little things.
The drawer of the desk above holds my leader/ender bits.
This little box had gotten to be a real mess. It is sorted again with just needles, pins, and thimbles.
I’ve now gone through my books. I can’t believe how many duplicates I had.
This is the discard pile.
These drawers under the long arm were a mess too.
I finally have all my quilt tops in one place.
This drawer holds backing fabrics. Yes, sometimes I use sheets.
When I posted my UFO list for the year, someone commented that it was perfectly legal to give a project away. So true! I’ve done this in the past and I’ve decided that I will do it again. Thanks for the reminder! Remember this stack of tumblers?
I would like to send them to anyone that wants them (US only due to postage costs). They are 4 inches finished height. You could use one to make a template to cut more. I cut these using my die cutter. There are over 250 here. Just leave me a comment saying you want them. If more than one person is interested, I’ll draw a name out of a hat.
ETA: Giveaway is now closed!
I have more cleaning and sorting to do, but this feels like a good start. I may have to hold an online garage sale to get rid of some of the stuff I’ve found! Have a great day!
Your tidy, organized room looks great. Hope it frees your mind for even more creative fun.
Kudos for cleaning. I need to do a serious clean of my room, but I keep procrastinating. Every time I got into my room, I get sidetracked with something more fun. LOL
I would gladly take them. Getting ready for another one for Hospice patients. I would take that Mollie Makes Patchwork book too and pay the postage.
OMG You have tremendous organizational skills…Wonderful job…
Would love to try a quilt with the tumblers.
Okay, everybody sing “Happy Birthday to Lois”. LOL! I’m 77 years young today. I’d love to have a chance at the tumbler blocks in order to make a QOV fr my grandson Brandon who served as a Marine in Yemen.
Ooo, looks so NICE! I need to do that in 3 rooms where my projects are laying everywhere willy nilly! Yikes!
Great work and inspiration on the clean up! I would love to make a patriotic tumbler quilt to give to a veteran! Tks!
I’m interested in that book by Helen Squire.
I’d pay shipping and whatever you want for it.
Your room is so nice.
How sweet and generous you are being. I would love to win your “prize’ I have to ask tho’, what prompted all this cleaning and organizing. What ever it was,,,I want to avoid it.
No tumblers for me, thank you. But I did want to tell you GOOD JOB on your cleaning. What a difference that will make. Now, go have fun sewing something!
Oooooh!!!! I would love these Tumblers…& would use to make a quilt for our Air Force Daughter & her Husband 😀 (they are both Air Force)Thank you sooooo kuch for chance to win your Give-a-way 🙂
My sewing room is a big mess right now, so it was relaxing and refreshing to look at your nice, organized room.
And just to help you get an accurate list for your giveaway, I do not need the tumblers. 🙂
I would love your tumbler blocks. I’ve wanted to make a tumbler quilt and the colors would be perfect for a Quilt of Valor. Thanks for the chance to win!
oh i love how organized your room looks – and the drawers are so neat! I haven’t seen a couple of the books in your donate pile – so am going to look them up – how fun!! ( no thank you to the giveaway)
I love the drawers you have under your longarm. Where did you get them? I currently use tubs under mine, but I think the drawers would work even better.
I would love them! I have always wanted to make a tumbler quilt plus I like patriotic fabrics!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing your progress. I need to get back to work on my sewing room and I appreciate the inspiration.
I have some of the same books! I would love to have the tumblers too. They are on list of quilts to make and the colorway is perfect!
Your tumblers would help me create a quilt for the Deployment soldiers-my friend Anne heads this up & is always SO appreciative. Big job, small #s of helpers. Thank you Katy!
I’d love to have your tumblers. I have been wanting to make a quilt for my nephew who is serving in the Air Force, and these would be perfect.
I would use them for a Quilted in Gratitude quilt for a local veteran. My quilt guild gives out several during the year.
I would use these in a scrappy Quilts of Valor quilt.
Pam and I would love them to make more VA lap quilts. 😁
I would love to give your tumblers a good home! I’m currently working on a scrappy tumbler quilt with that very size!
I would love to give that project a ” tumble”. Who doesn’t love. Red, white and blue?
