I’ve had these scraps sitting in a box for almost two years.
They were left over from making this quilt for Daughter #1.
There is someone that admired this quilt, and I’d like to surprise her with aChristmas quilt of her own. So I got out this die.
And started chopping.
I set this piece aside for binding.
I also used this die when the scraps were too small for the rectangle die.
I pulled a bit of yardage from my stash to supplement, but I think I’m all set to sew now. That pile on the lower right is all I have left of the scraps.
I love working on surprises! Have a great day!
What fun Christmas fabrics! That will be cute.
It really is fun to sew Christmas fabrics. I’ve had to hold myself off to finish a couple of things before dipping into the Christmas stash. Meanwhile I have some Morris fabric that would work well for hexies like yours. Are they difficult to make? I don’t mind the time they may take but is it hard to get the edges so straight like yours. Happy Stitching!
That is a really pretty holiday quilt, and very smart of you to use those triangles so you don’t have to do set in seams with diamonds.
Cant wait to see the outcome of these little pieces!
