More Progress!

I set aside a good chunk of the day yesterday and was able to finish sewing my string top together! Woo hoo!

I have many points that don’t match well. Probably due in part to the thick string pieced blocks combined with a thin solid. I’d like to use this flannel for the back, but I’ll have to do some creative piecing if I am to make it stretch far enough.

No progress on hexie borders. Decisions can take longer than the actual piecing sometimes!

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

Meant, LOL, have any strings left you could cut in half vertically and use as the border?

Your string top is looking so good! Wonderful red for the every-other-blocks. Makes everything else pop!
